Offering the 1920×1080 HD full-pixel recording and 10-bit/4:2:2 full sampling capabilities first achieved in our AJ-HPX3000 camera-recorder, the AJ-HPX3700 is ready to record movies, commercials and other high-end film and TV productions. Plus, it offers HD-SDI output of 23.98PsF/24PsF video signals and high quality output of RGB 4:4:4 camera video signals via Dual Link connectivity, allowing connection to a variety of high-end video production equipment.
The AJ-HPX3700 also features a variable frame rate function with a range from 1 fps to 30 fps. Other image-enhancing features in this high-quality HD camera-recorder include Chromatic Aberration Compensation (CAC), 14-bit A/D processing, and a multi-gamma function including Film-REC. Select from AVC-Intra 100, AVC-Intra50, or DVCPRO HD codec for recording.
The VariCam 3700 is the new flagship camcorder from Panasonic Broadcast, offering full native 1920x1080-pixel acquisition and independent frame recording with 10-bit/4:2:2 sampling. The HPX3700 has 3 x 2/3-inch 2.2 megapixel CCDs and provides a 4:4:4 RGB dual-link live output (even while recording) to deliver pristine images ideal for composition of visual effects.
The HPX3700 is tailor-made for feature films, broadcast television, and commercial production, recording in full-raster 1920x1080 resolution in AVC-Intra 100. It also records in AVC-Intra 50 and DVCPRO HD too.
Its 'Varicam' variable frame rate function has a range from 1 fps to 30 fps in 1-frame increments, and is equipped with three HD-SDI outputs (dual-link + monitor). It is switchable between 59.94-Hz and 50-Hz recording.
Additional image-enhancing features found in both camcorders include 14-bit A/D processing, Chromatic Aberration Compensation (CAC) to maximise lens performance, Dynamic Range Stretching (DRS) for wide variations in lighting, unique shutter angle settings, built-in scan reverse and full control of matrix and colour correction for precise image matching.
