Ark SDU can support a modest level of mirroring, but in general it's best suited for backup and archive activities that are less time critical.

Ark EDU is designed to store media from one or more primary EditShare servers. The Ark EDU Green drive technology means that drives spin slower, saving energy and reducing heat output. In a crisis situation where something has happened to a facility’s main storage, Ark EDU can be activated and used by a limited number of editors to complete critical work while the primary storage is repaired.

Ark FPDU is a full power storage solution that can hold material from one or more primary EditShare servers. Ideal for Broadcasters who require an ongoing mirror of their media can use the EditShare sync feature to replicate media spaces. In a crisis situation where the primary storage has been lost or destroyed, the Ark FPDU will serve as a complete and near instant failover unit which will allow an unlimited number of editors to use.


Ark TBU provides an integrated solution for customers who wish to have a safety copy of their media that can be easily transported off-site, or for those who want an easy solution for archiving media and projects from their disk-based EditShare storage systems. Ark Tape is also a great solution for backing up material recorded on cameras with solid state media such as P2 cards. Ark Tape is based on industry-standard DLT tape cartridges and represents the most economical and energy efficient solution efficient than a spinning disk solution.
